Heather White, a fantastic aspiring photographer based in the UK who's photos are visually stunning and her portraits truly capture something unique. We caught up with the mind behind Crypton Photography to ask her a few short questions.

What has been your most memorable photo shoot?

My first photo shoot with Alice La vie is the most memorable for me. A model from Cornwall, who I never thought in a million years I would get the chance to meet! I loved her modelling work before I decided I wanted to become a photographer. I did not know she planned to do a photo shoot at a studio called Scarlet Door which is situated close by! As soon as I knew, I contacted the host/studio owner on how I can be a part. I paid a cheap price for an hour with Alice and used of all their lighting equipment. When the day came I was so worried! 1) It was my first time in a studio 2) I would be meeting on of my most favourite models! 3) I had no idea what to do. So I planned to wing it! I ended up producing crazy amazing images, one set which has been published.

Are you a Mac or PC user?

Uh... No brainer, PC!

Who would you love to work with, be it another photographer, model, MUA or stylist?

OH the list. Longest list of all lists. I want to work with so many people!

  • Lily Cole (Model , Fashion)
  • Ophelia overdose (Model, Alternative)
  • Nadia Stephens’s photography (I’m in talks and planning!)
  • Jade Thompson (Winner of Britain’s and Irelands next top model cycle 7)
  • Alice bizarre (MUA & Model)
  • Miss deadly red (Model, Alternative)
  • Charmaine Zsigo-Oliver (Model & Owner of Mushme Latex)

I won’t make the list longer but those are a short few!

What five words would your friend use to describe you?

Well I was speaking to my friends at college about this funny enough!

They said “Crazy, Creative, Independent, kind and worries too often!” a funny bizarre mix.

Have you had any formal photography training or are you self taught?

I’d love to say self taught. But I’ve had the helpful teaching of Shawn Bishop. The owner of Scarlet Door, I’m very thankful for everything he has done to help me and all of the experience he has been able to offer me. Without his help I would not be the photographer I am today!

Thank you for the interview Kim! Everyone will have to go on my page to keep updates for what I have planned for the future!
